When does testing after a meal become before?

I'm never sure when taking my blood glucose readings becomes before a meal rather than after. For example, if I have my lunch at 1.00pm and my supper at 7.30pm, at what point should I record it it as after lunch or before supper?

    Is neuropathy reversible?

I am no expert but stinging pain above your knee is probably not neuropathy, as that affects your extremities. I would investigate it further.

    Is neuropathy reversible?

I have tried alpha lipoic acid and acupuncture, but neither has made any difference.

    Is neuropathy reversible?

Thanks! That's good to hear. Yes, I am committed to sustaining my healthy lifestyle.

    Is neuropathy reversible?

I think you must have mis-read me! As I said, my mmol/l is always between 4-6. It never goes above 6.5, even after meals. Going lower than 4 is quite dangerous. I am very conscious of my diet and what I eat. I think I eat very healthily.

    Is neuropathy reversible?

I am a 65 year old male and I have had type 2 diabetes for many years, with blood sugars consistently over 20 mmol/l. Over the past year I have turned my life and diabetes around, through exercising very hard daily, controlling my diet and giving up alcohol. I have lost ten stone and made all my...

Seven months later my diabetes is in remission

Thank you. Yes, I am now settled into my new lifestyle. I have continued to lose weight - I have lost seven and a half stone - and am at my target weight. I am now adjusting what I do to just maintain my weight and health, by being less strict about what I eat and by being less intense at the...

No, unfortunately not. and apparently there is nothing I can do about it. I do sympathise - it is a right royal pain (in both senses of the word)! I have started taking vitamin B12 and Alpha Lipoic tablets. I have heard that they might do some good, and I don't think they can do any harm, so...

Seven months later my diabetes is in remission

Mainly yes. I have found that it has been mainly just head down and focussing. The staff at the gym have been very supportive. But now that I have achieved my weight goal, I hope that I can be a bit more relaxed about it.

Seven months later my diabetes is in remission

I spend about a quarter of my time doing weights, a quarter on the rowing machine, a quarter on a cycling machine and a quarter cross training. I damaged my achilles tendon when I started (I started jogging too soon) which is only just recovering, so I will incorporate a treadmill soon. Anything...

Seven months later my diabetes is in remission

Thank you all for your kind words. I have no intention of letting what I have done be undone. I see controlling what I eat and exercising as a life long commitment. Talking of eating, I think one of reasons I have been successful is because I haven't put myself on an unsustainable diet. I...

Seven months later my diabetes is in remission

I am 64. Six months ago I was, and had been for many years, obese, dependent on alcohol, suffering from depression, sedentary and had diabetes type 2. I felt negative and unmotivated. Due to those factors, making any changes was, I thought, nigh on impossible. I thought I was locked in to...
