Exciting you are in Canada .. we meet world wide friends here ..on the forum
In Canada you can get food from world wide I believe .. that's good .. a great variety .. :)
I agree. I love all the different world views here.
Food is pretty pricy here as we have to import all our produce in the winter.
But we do have nice variety.
Sorry to highjack this thread. This really doesn't have anything to do with what I ate anymore.

I think it's ok , we like a bit of chat while we are eating :)

I made this last night the original recipe was a salad but I roast it all and throw fresh spinach in it at the end and serve warm.
  • 1 small head cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons regular olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 250 grams home-cooked chickpeas (or drained weight from 400g/14oz can or jar)
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste (according to taste and the heat of the harissa)
  • 4 smallish ripe vine tomatoes (approx. 150g/6oz total)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (or to taste)

Sounds delish. Do you use florets or cauli rice?

Liquorice and aniseed (especially the tracer I have to drink in hospital before a CT scan - yuk!)
Nothing exciting; I'm not able to eat much at present:

B: Muesli

L: Egg, LM sausage and a few beans

D: M&S Roast veg lasagne (disappointing) with salad

I'm glad I was able to gain some weight over Christmas as I'm losing it now.

Thanks @Kat100

I haven't been eating much at all, although today has been an exception and I've quite eaten well (not enough cals, but reasonable). You're right that I should eat more frequent, smaller meals; it's just not that practical.

Today...

B: Porridge

L: Butternut squash soup

D: Chicken & leek pie (with free-range Quorn & wholewheat crust), mash and veg

Snack: My first Golden milk, inspired by @Avocado Sevenfold

Terrified of staining everything yellow whilst making the paste! I'm quite pleased with the results. It'll be good if it really does help with inflammation and digestion problems as otherwise, I think I'll be back on a feeding tube soon.

@Ledzeptt Sorry to read that you are losing weight again. I hope you like the golden milk. I love it! Remember it can't be taken with anticoagulants if you ever have to take them. The pie looks great. "free-range Quorn" LOL
