Have you checked the vets bills, just going to the vet costs £27, without the cost of any medication, a course of antibiotics for my dog cost another £87. At least with the NHS seeing your doctor is FREE! and if you have an exemption certificate prescriptions are also FREE!

Its only happened to me once! I went to collect my prescription and the pharmacist said they were low on stock of gliclazide but would have some the next day, I could have one box (28) if I needed some. I always keep at lest 2 weeks stock in hand so I was not too bothered.

Just a thought. Wouldn't it be easier to administer the system if the information was printed on the prescription to indicate that you were a diabetic (or had one of the other conditions giving exemption) and therefor exempt from prescription charges.
