Today, I recieved an urgent message from a close friend. He had a guest from America staying with him. She is a diabetic, and through unforseen circumstances ran short of insulin. He told me that she was not covered by NDSS insurance in this country and would be charged full price for her supply.

I organised for supplies to be sent to her from the ACT where I live, to NSW where she is located. Not just for her, but the friend who pleaded on her behalf. I have been reimbursed the cost of insulin and handling, so there is no problem.

I did this freely, because I will not sit back and watch another diabetic flounder. I know my own trials and tribulations in my early years. I could not wish that on anyone.

Some would call me foolish, some would laugh at me for being gullible. I think not.

Not being on holiday....
Hey I certainly wouldn't say you were foolish or gullible.
You were and are indeed a friend and a very kind hearted individual.
Well done you.

I gave without question, I supported without gain, I made life possible. What more could I do?
