another carb counting question

Hi guys.
Can anyone tell me how many grams of carbs there are in 100g of mash made with maris pipers, semi-skimmed milk and a spoon of olive spread?
Also 100g of the same, boiled, roasted and chipped but oven cooked with a spray of olive oil?
I have a carb counting book but oddly enough it does'nt have info on pots
Please check out my thread in the soapbox forum on medical id, i'd love to hear the opinions of all you seasoned experts! :D

Hi scotchpie,

If you're cooking these at home, I think it's easiest to weigh the raw potatoes after peeling but before you add anything, rather than weighing the end result. 100g raw maris piper's will be about 17g carbohydrate, and that won't change if you mash it or roast it. If you add anything else (e.g. milk when you mash them) you need to add the carbs there; about 5g carbs per 100ml of milk. Olive oil or butter don't add any carbs.

Hope that helps!
