If you are moderately low then tablet supplements may help but if your B12 is so low it has caused pernicious anaemia then you will need to have the injections. Can I ask why you thought they didn't suit you? Was it because they are painful or because you didn't think they worked? With the B12 injections you have to have three to five in a short period of time at the beginning to bring up your levels and then one injection every three months. You won't actually feel better til you have had two or three injections. Please go back to the doc/nurse and talk it through cos it won't get better on its own!
