It's being considered the best photo of this century.

A lioness and her cub were crossing theSavannah but the heat was excessive

and the cub was in great difficulty walking.

An elephant realized that the cub would die and carried him in his trunk to

a pool of water, walking beside his mother.

And we call them wild animals?

Any self respecting elephant would stood on the cub so it did not live to full size where it would be a threat to it's owncalves.

Its nice to know African Grey Parrots have been found to be altruistic, so the natural world does very occasionally rise above being, "Red in tooth and claw"
