Does anyone have a good low carb recipe for biscuits? It's the one thing I'm missing with my morning coffee!
Also. I have a Birthday coming up and would like to make a cake. Anyone have a recipe for a cake?
Thanks

Hi… I don’t know if this biscuit recipe is or could be low carb? But I think it could be adapted by switching ground almonds for the flour and sweetner for the sugar. I would love to know if it works if anyone tries it…..

Is there anyway of working out the total carbs in the adapted recipe?

Chocolate Macadamia Biscotti
250 gm plain flour (try using ground almonds instead perhaps)
2 TBSP cocoa
175gm sugar (use splenda instead)
½ tsp baking powder
3 eggs lightly beaten
Grated rind of an orange
150 gm macadamia nuts.

Method
Combine flour (ground almonds) sugar (sweetner) and baking powder an mix well.
In another bowl combine eggs, orange rind, and macadamia nuts and mix well
Make a well in centre of dry ingredients , pour in the egg mixture and stir to form a dough.
Place dough on a lightly floured board and divide in half
Shape halves into logs. Place on a greased and floured baking sheet and bake at 200 * for 15 mins.
Remove from oven and cut logs into 5cm thick slices.
Put back on baking sheet and bake for a further 10-15 mins.
Cool on wire rack and store in airtight container.
Makes 45 biscotti.
