Cartridge problem?

Hi. I just got a new novopen4 for my levemir. I have been using levemir cartridge with my Novopen echo for the last few days.
Now that I've got the new pen, I took the used cartridge out of echo pen and put it in my new novopen4.
However no insulin comes out of a needle.
Does the cartridge not function once you take it out from a pen and put it back in?
I don't want to waste a cartridge, so I haven't tried with a new cartridge yet.

Thanks.

No, what has happened is the bit that pushes it up is far down. You need to crank it up to like 30 and push it in. Keep doing this until the bit reaches the base and insulin comes through the needle
