Hi
Did your doctor not advice you. They should of, i would give them a ring as all diabetics are different. i am a T1 diabetic and am on novarapid penfil (fast acting insulin) and 22 units of Lantus solar star at night.
Please contact your diabetic nurse or gp, which one changed your insulin.
Please let me know how you get on.
Take care
Tracey

Yes I would do as Tracey suggests and ask your diabetes care team what dose you should start at.

Hi,

Agreed with the two above, starting doses should always be advised by your diabetes care team!

It's common when switching insulins to purposely use a lower dose to start with, it's always easier to start with too little so you can work your way up to the correct dose rather than risk starting the dose too high and be battling low blood glucose levels!

Hope the switch goes nice and smooth for you! :)
