Lifted from the Input diabetes website here: http://www.inputdiabetes.org.uk/about-2/input-in-person/input-fusion-11-june-2016/
Hope I'm okay to plug this, I've no connection to Input other than I'm planning to go to this event and thought it worth publicising more. @azure, @himtoo, @tim2000s - is it worth making this a sticky?
INPUT FUSION – 11 June 2016
Saturday, 11 June 2016
10am – 4:30pm
For adults* with type 1 diabetes
*Teens with type 1 diabetes aged 13-18 are welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult (who need not have type 1 diabetes)
Venue: St Thomas Centre, Manchester.
Walking distance from Manchester Piccadilly station.
Join us on Saturday 11th June 2016 to meet up with others with type 1 diabetes, chat with people with similar interests, share what works for you, and exchange ideas.
A semi-structured event without an agenda, the day will start by finding out what people want to talk about. Topics might include access to insulin pumps, using CGM, structured education, low carb eating, exercise & blood glucose management, how to talk to your consultant or DSN, what type 1 developments give you most hope and psychological care. We will then split into interest groups about 4 times through the day so you can chat about your choice of subjects. Expect a day of fun, socialising, sharing and learning.
There will be an exhibition at lunch time including diabetes technology companies and diabetes charities. Attendance and financial support has been confirmed by the following: Animas, Medtronic, Roche, Abbott, BD, Cellnovo, Kaleido, Ypsomed. Charities Diabetes UK, DRWF, DWED and JDRF will also be there.
Registration fee of £10 per person includes lunch and refreshments
Gluten-free and vegetarian options available.

Why not make a weekend of it, book into a hotel, and arrange to go out for the evening with new (or old!) friends?
