I have one
Self designed it - says Diabetic with a star burst around it .
Small , neat and dainty ladylike for a lady in her 50's .
My own choice with this style and size of tattoo .
It is on my inner left wrist - same side as para medics are trained to
use this arm when taking a persons BP (blood pressure)
As its the same side as your heart is .
Star burst is filled in light blue to represent colour of Diabetes
world wide/internationally .
Advise against using a company logo though - its a very personal thing
to - you yourself your own Diabetes journey .
I used to have a medic alert bracelet - then kept taking it off for shower,
washing up/car etc
Was forever forgetting to replace it back on me
Until the obvious thing happened - big hypo in morrisons shopping .
Unable to speak clearly slurred words/speech lolling around unable
to make myself understood etc.
Convinced me that a tattoo was the best solution for myself .
Tattoo of Diabetic on wrist - is permanent and can be a
brilliant reference point as a medical warning alert .
We have had a few threads on this - will find links and post them up
for you to read up on if you wish?
