I have heard about this and talked to an endocrinologist at my last visit but she was not my regular specialist and was filling in for mine at the time she said that if I had this I would have other symptoms and shrugged it off . My next appointment with my specialist is in a few weeks so will raise it with him see what he things.
so is this diagnosed by symptoms or is their a test for diagnose...

the thing is I also suffer from Ulcerative Colitis other crazy health problems so I have always thought maybe that the vomiting was part of my UC.

The diagnosis test (for me anyway) was a barium breakfast, so fasting then the worst flavoured ready-brek you've ever had followed by X-rays. Lots and lots of X-rays. Ten consecutive one minute pictures frontwards then backwards, followed by a ten minute X-ray (try standing as still as possible for ten minutes, yuck). Repeat every half an hour until the barium starts to leave the stomach. It took me all morning, which gave me a positive diagnosis.

You can see why doctors don't want to order the test though - it ties up one tech and one X-ray machine for at least half a day.

When a restaurant switched my coke zero with my husband's sugary one, I was a quarter of a liter in when my stomach turned. So yeah... Highs are sickening these days.
