Exercise question

Taken up the gym this week, done Monday and today, and apart from being in agony after going from doing nowt to this, i today checked my bg's thru the day, all normal, between 4 and 5, with 4.2 just before i started, yet 5.3 after i had exercised. Surely it should be going down not up after exercising?

Rude people! Not being able to do the things I want to do.
If you do not have enough food intake to cover your exercise then your liver' dumps' glucose into your system causing your blood sugar levels to go up.
This stops you going hypo with too much exercise, you should be aware, being on Gliclazide, that you may hypo during exercise.

Before exercise always check that your bg levels are above 4.

My fingers will end up like pincushions at this rate!

To be honest, Im hoping i can lose some weight so i can drop the gliclazide or even the actos, as they are both at their max dosage levels, and obviously in the case of the actos, it doesnt help much with the weight loss, though it is good to bring down my bg's, just can't win!!

If you reduce your carbohydrate intake you will not only reduce your bg levels but also loss weight.
