Well that was a surprise! First DN appointment and after the somewhat chilly reception on the Desmond day I admit I was prepared to smile, say thank you then do it my own way anyway!
She looked at my results and asked me if I was low carbing, when I said yes she was delighted. Apparently she has spent all day telling people about it and feels like she has been banging her head against a brick wall (only one other had any clue about what she was saying) We then had a long chat about carbs, diet doctor, the 8 week blood sugar diet and the keto diet. Such a nice lady and she said I can call her my keto nurse! She suggested some recipe books and using this forum/site - it was open ready on the screen!! The only downside is that she is temporary at my surgery but apparently the usual DN is also a Lc supporter.
Feeling supported and motivated. Sometimes life surprises me in a good way. I hope you've all had a good day too x
