Had my 'first' three monthly check-up. My doctors was so pleased with me she gave me a hug! She said I'd done really well and that everything was going in the right direction. She didn't appear phased by the testing 8 times a day or the LC diet ! (she's newly graduated as a GP which I think helps, all keen and reading up on stuff all the time)

She was very impressed with all my spreadsheets and numbers !! (us nerds must stick together).

She doesn't see why I should go on Metformin as things are going so well. THRILLED

She has suggested statins as a prophylactic - and I'm going to look into those in much more (objective) detail.

Thought I'd share !!

Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
Yay! That's great news, well done and keep up the good work.

Very well done indeed and for finding a semi-enlightened GP.. as for statins... that's a whole new can of worms...

That's great, @charliebarker ! I'm glad your doctor is up to speed too...I found that along with all the stuff I recorded made it all easier to discuss and to show that I meant business. Well done.

ps. I passed on the statins. I'd advise you do look int them before deciding...I did not see the need to take minor risks for very minor possible benefits (but there are those in favour with different views).
