Emmotha I felt like you when I had the Abbott CGM. My readings were always so much below my meters, not just Accuchek meter either. There was only one other person I knew that had this brand, the hospital told me that I was the problem, so dis Abbott. It wasn't until speaking to the other Patient, that he told me his readings were lower than blood tests too. He hadn't bothered telling our consultant or Abbott at the time. However, you have a choice. You have done, what I did and informed Abbott. Try to see if you do get better reads from different sensors. If not, you can carry on with the realisation that those readings are a guideline only.. As this other Patient did. Or you get them to refund the money for the Libre. The screen on my CGM reader actually imploded, and Abbott blamed me, which wasn't true. So at that point, enough was enough for me. Since then the hospital no longer uses Abbott CGM's at all, and my consultant is currently wary of this new Libre due to non blood calibration. What you do is up to you, but I fully understand your frustrations having gone through the same with their CGM. Hopefully the new sensors will read more accurately for you. I don't know whether it's certain persons that it seems to defunct with, or whether you have had bad luck, or whether you may be like me, rather lean and because of leanness and muscle the sensors are less able to work well. I do feel for you. I didn't have to pay for my cgm sensors, so I wasn't personally additionally throwing away my money, but it was NHS money which did frustrate me. I do really feel for your frustration....
