Hi, what do you think of these numbers

Hba1c Feb 2010 - 7.2 BGS 6.1

Hba1c March 2010- 7.1 BGS 5.1

D/E only have lost 14lbs in last 9 weeks I thought I might have had a lower Hba1c before dx I was 9.6 most of my home tests are between 5.1-7.3 is this the way it goes?
Grateful for any answers
Many thanks

It's going in the right direction, well done. Are you on any meds?

I would be pleased with those results. You are well within guidelines for daily testing. 4-7 is the figure to aim for on fasting. Under 8.5(?) 2 hrs after meals.
Well done on the weight loss

An HBA1C test shows what your average blood sugar has been over the previous 3 months. So having two tests only a month apart, it isn't surprising that there is not a huge difference to be seen. This is why it is recommended that HBA1Cs should be done with at least a 3 month gap between them. Your surgery should know this so it's surprising that they agreed to two tests so closely spaced.
