without the use of pharma drugs?
I ask because I have this crazy feeling that my daily exercise - 100 minutes of combined walking and jogging in place - is doing such an excellent job that I do not have any diabetes complications yet despite my consistently high fasting and 2-hour after-meal blood sugar readings. My diagnosis fasting blood sugar reading in July 1991 was a sky-high 468 mg/dl. I was supposed to be on several oral anti-diabetes pills but I refused to take them. After passing the required stress test, I ran the stairs a total of 132x/day. I did this for 16.5 years.
Nearly all of my A1c's were from 5.2% to 6.3%, the one done two months ago was 5.6%.
No diabetes complications yet. I am now 76 years old and I am very happy and proud to say that I feel much younger than my actual age.
My favorite foods are mostly heart-healthy, natural, fresh (raw or cooked) unprocessed, whole carbohydrates.
