Posting this in the low-carb diet section, but I am not telling anyone they should eat low-carb, or that they should diet.
I am not telling anyone they should eat chocolate ... but if they did they should eat this brand : (name withheld to maintain impartiality)
But, even as a non-professional, I am telling every single one of you that you SHOULD eat, and that there will be complications for not doing so.
Obviously I want to know what it does for diabetics. I already eat the occasional dark chocolate, but more in a 'guilty pleasure' sort of way.
I'm currently out (bad planning, I know) but sense a dash to the shops some time today
Other studies found while composing this post :
Cocoa, diabetes, and hypertension: should we eat more chocolate?
http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/81/3/541.full
Chocolate Intake and Incidence of Heart Failure
A Population-Based Prospective Study of Middle-Aged and Elderly Women
http://circheartfailure.ahajournals.org ... 5/612.full
These articles suggests not overdoing the chocolate. I couldn't possibly comment.
They also suggest benefits from moderate chocolate intake.
Enjoy (that's only a suggestion, by the way)
Geoff
