Saw on the news yesterday of a new product to me called Januvia. Has anybody on the forum heard or used this product? This is for type 2 only.

There seems to be even less patients on this than Byetta (although about a third of the cost). It should be taken with other oral meds too to have its full potential effect.

It has less side effects than byetta and is taken orally only once a day. No nausea, but has much less weight loss associated compared to Byetta. Hopefully we can get some members experience of it soon.

Hello Bubs, I have been taking Januvia now for about 3 months alongside Glucophage and Glicazide.

No nausea with it unlike Metformin and no weight gain

I have just been put on Januvia by my doctor - I wanted to try Byetta but apparently it is still being trialled in my area (Dorset). This is only my second week so hard to say if it has any effect on weight loss yet, but I haven't experienced any nausaea or other side effects so far.

I was on Pioglitazone but this made me put on 3 stone in as many months!
