Very best of luck to you. 13:04 is very high. About 2 months ago when I was first diagnosed it was at around 14 which like yours is off the scale. On Easter Monday I started my version of the Newcastle diet (low calorie of 600-700cal/day but I still eat, meat, fish and dairy products but choose low GL foods). A few days ago my fasting reading went down to 5.6 and stayed around that for 3 days. This is within the target range of a non diabetic. I am still under 7 but am heading in the right direction. I hope to eventually wean myself off the 2 metformin tablets a day which I take. Please take my advice and WRITE DOWN every single bloody thing that goes in your mouth. I mean count the calories for every single berry if you have to. Just get into the habit of being strict. I am gathering a spreadsheet of common low GI foods and noting all their calories and GL values. I will post it here one day when it is complete.
