Quick! Eat Fat!

Times they are a changing:singing: after decades of fat is bad dogma hardly a week goes by without doubt being cast on the validity of the guidelines restricting saturated fat.

Don't think I will be changing from low fat any time soon as it suits me and I don't think my body needs saturated animal fat but everyone to their own opinion.....

Well, to an extent; facts aren't opinions though; something is either true or not true irrespective of what we think about it. And you do need fat; there are many health problems related to having too low a consumption of fat (unlike carbohydrates where there are no deficiency diseases).

There are other ways of eating fat that is not animal fats in oils and nuts for instance after all vegetarians do pretty well without animal fats
 
Be careful with other oils than olive oil, coconut oil, avocado and nut oils as their omega 6 content is high and cause inflammation in the body (the main reason for CVD)
