Has anyone else noticed an increase in food/diet related SPAM. I keep getting ads about SPECIAL K, for example, and, being a cynic, am slightly concerned as to the origins.

I think you will find it is the search engine you use it monitors what sites you go on then targets adverts that it thinks you would be interested in

Yeah, I guess you're right. I do, of course, ignore the details of these things, just as we always turn the sound off during adverts, which means the TV is muted for more time than it's not. Thanks goodness for 'record', or delayed 'live' viewing.

- Dishonest people, pessimism, spiders, mushrooms.
Basically the ads on most of the sites you visit these days will inspect your previous browsing history and show you ads based on that.
