Stomach Cramps

I recently got diagnosed with T1 around two months ago, the past week I have been getting stomach cramps during the night which are waking me up and also in the day around lunch time. Not sure if this s is the result of me adjusting my diet ( lots of salads and fruit) or the doctor has just upped my metformin dosage as my level where 89 from my recent blood test after being on insulin for while.

Anybody else had this not t sure if it is something I'm doing wrong, currently on 24 units of lantus per day.

You may be getting stomach cramps from having a very high blood sugar. It seems like you should be on a basal-bolus regime by now, not just one injection a day.
Your doctor is treating you as if you were a T2 diabetic. Ask for a referral to a diabetes clinic or an endocrinologist as a matter of urgency.
