strict 4 hours apart

does anyone use the 4 hour apart "rule" before dosing with
rapid insulin again?
or are more people flexible and maybe eat and dose 3 hours
apart if they are hungry already?

when i first began a rapid insulin i was told that i cant use anymore
until 4 hours have passed

I stick with that to avoid stacking doses means I don't ever snack as well, you get used to it.

I've done less than 4 hours - no-one even said anything about the 4 hour rule to me haha, but hey, done me no harm..

No-one gave me a rule about when to take insulin. When I bolus for dinner, and then decide I want dessert I just bolus again. Same goes for snacks. I'm only more careful when I'm not particularly sure about the first bolus. Then I test more often and keep another snack handy.

No one told me a rule, I just know that my bolus insulin is out of my system in about 4 hours so I choose not to stack and risk hypo/ hyper rollercoasters but, like @Deanoh has said it doesn't do him any harm so it's individual choice I suppose.
