I went to see my diabetic specialist nurse at the hospital today. I asked her if I could try Levemir instead of Lantus as on the Lantus I've gained weight, even with 10 untis of Byetta. So for 1 month I'm allowed to keep the Byetta but changing the Lantus for Levemir. I hope changing the insulin will be enough to stop me gaining, Lantus has a bad rep for that. The nurse was dubious, but I'm hoping for at least not any more weight gain (almost impossible with Christmas looming). Wish me luck!

good luck with the changeover,we are all different so what works for one may not work for another,i have found lantus to be good for losing weight so it just goes to show how different we all are...
