T1.5 LADA, no control?

Messages

I have around two years ago been re diagnosed from T2 to T1.5 LADA.
I wondered if anyone else out there with the same diagnoses has the same issues. I can be relatively stable for a few weeks, then out of the blue i’ll have around a week of highs then a few days of hypos!! Now real reason for this that I can fathom. Any ideas? Also been told that i may have other auto immune issues and wondered if i’m getting joint flare ups is it possible that i’m getting flare ups that affect my sugar levels?

Thanks

The situation you T2 to T1 is quite common, it happened to me

The thing with late onset T1 is the pancreas can fail much slower

So yes I’ve had times where I stopped insulin and been ok.. I’ve had times where staying low is tough…. And times where I have multiple hypos.. as time has passed things have been more stable

As for other autoimmune stuff yes it’s possible.. I do!

Any pain stress can affect your bg, I get a lot of pain joint/nerve etc which on their own are quite common in non diabetics, but I’m told diabetes can contribute to this

Hi, can I ask what treatment regime you are on?
