Hi @Kamill,
You could be suffering from postural hypotension and your feeling dizzy may have nothing to do with your blood sugars.

I see from another post that you have made that you are taking Carbamazepine for another condition.

This could be affecting your blood sugars.
You really need to see your G.P. and ask for a medication review as nobody here can give you a definitive answer as to why you are experiencing lower than normal blood sugars.. Any other meds that you are taking?
If you have been running high blood sugars and they suddenly drop it could be a false hypo as your body is not used to lower numbers and has reacted.

Another possibility to consider is that meters are not accurate and there is an article here that explains what can influence a blood sugar reading.

Me too, I'd feel very unwell with BGs at those levels and would want to eat something low carb before they went that low. When I had to fast for surgery and it was delayed I got down to 3.5 and felt so ill. I realise that wasn't a medically significant low BG, but I sure felt sick. We are all different.
It must have been scary for you..
It's more advisable to treat with a few grams of faster acting carb. As opposed to the LC you mentioned.
Especially as I notice you use Metformin.. There's no need to delay the sensation of hypoglycaemicia longer than necessary

Acceptance of health treatment claims that are not adequately supported by evidence. I dislike it when people sell ineffective and even harmful alternative health products to exploit the desperation of people with chronic illness.

Good to know, thanks.

That makes sense, I'm glad you figured out what was the likely cause. I've had low BP attacks in the past, they are not nice. Had you been lying down and got up quickly?

I had been lying down for a little while and remembered I had to make my breakfast for following morning and did get up rather quickly. So this may be the reason for the fainting episode. When I saw an ex nurse friend of mine last night she asked me about my pulse rate which had been extremely low over the last few days and said this was a good indicator that blood was not being pumped through enough. In turn this would cause the fainting. In conclusion it means that I need to do more cardiovascular exercise to help it improve.

I have thought that that the carbamazepine may be having an affect in the bg levels as the side effects of the drug is renowned to affect the liver functions and I have been taking it for so long. I also take a beta blockers, blood pressure and aspirin.

It could also be a bit of postural hypotension, and as far as I know the best thing to do for that is to get up slowly when you've been lying down.
