I went clothes shopping today, and saw a pair of shorts I really liked. I didn't buy then because they didn't have enough pockets to carry around all my diabetes related garb :-(

Ha ha. That doesn't sound stupid, more like sensible. Three options:
1) look for shorts with enough pockets
2) buy the shorts you like and sew on patch pockets (think the Great British Sewing Bee)
3) carry a man bag

Hope that helps! :)

Crowds of people, my idea of hell would be a huge gathering of any sort!

Heights, scare me to death!
Liars, cheats. poseurs, any kind of violence, thieves and people who take advantage of others.

The way the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Global warming, the melting ice caps, whaling..I mean what for?!

Cruelty

Having to give up my eat everything philosophy..and I really really dislike consequences.
Buy 'em! There are too many opportunities in this life to say "I would love that but........" There are too many buts! (butts?)

....you could buy a bum bag at the same time and it could bounce around on your butt! :D

That's the trouble in the warmer weather when you don't wear a coat, when I'm out with my wife it all goes in her handbag :)

I keep having thoughts about cargo pants (trousers) to carry everything. All my shorts have plenty of pockets already.

One benefit of my job is that my overalls for site work have plenty of pockets and I always have my laptop bacg with me.

Went runninng today and got 150 yards down the road thinking "something's not right here" before I turned around and got my test kit.

I'm a jacket and trousers kind of guy. I just don't do handbags. Besides I'd leave it on the bus on the first day. Just trying to plan for the warmer weather when I lose the jacket.

I also have a keyring testing kit. An iBG*Star (sans iPhone) in Silicon skin. a few test strips and a single lancet tucked under the skin. Just need to suss out a tiny insulin delivery system ;-)

I LOVE my handbag...though when I was younger and wanted to go out without a massive bag of stuff I used to get my husband to carry all my stuff for me but it was just pen and sugar as we didn't test so much then....gosh it was a long time ago!

Sounds familiar... Mr Patch13 likes to give me his stuff when he doesn't have enough pockets. Not diabetic stuff, just keys, glasses, wallet, etc. The wallet is sometimes useful but I could do without the other stuff!!

Would a spibelt be any use to carry small items if you don't have enough pockets?

I use one in the gym for my pump and at other times too.

But I don't want to look like a traffic warden! Oh well, a life of cargo pants/shorts it is then :-/

Love those cartoons, Scandichic! I once sent a photo of my husband and I, he with his manbag, to my father. My dad asked why my hubby was carrying a handbag. I told him it was a manbag, for him to carry his stuff. My dad said, "Like what? His lipstick?" :D

At least he doesn't wear a ***** pack!

I get that because i now have to check my bags for nites out will fit my stuff plus mob plus makeup n some clutch bags etc are so small. Im quite into my fashion n this annoys me if bag that matches isnt that big! River island bags go from one extreme to other so its a hit or miss if i get one that fits!

Ignorance, laziness.
My freestyle optium meter came with a little black zip bag that I can also fit needles, pens etc in. It has a little area on the "spine" of the bag that I can hook a small carabiner to and hook to my belt :) .

My apologies. My (English) husband just read this thread over my shoulder and was horrified at my mention of "***** packs". I had no idea it didn't mean the same thing as it does in the States. He said they are called "bum bags" here.

Sorry if I offended anyone!
