Hi, Recently I have found I can eat a small potato and some porridge without increasing my blood glucose as formerly. About six weeks ago I was referred for suspected heart failure. It was fluid retention due excess aldosterone. Since doubling the dose of aldosterone antagonist I lost 5lb of fluid immediately and my b.g.s have improved on eating carbs. Conn an American doctor believed there was a tie up in some Conn's and PA patients with T2D and excess aldosterone that has also been found the case in recent years. Excess aldosterone impairs ones ability to regulate blood glucose. Derek
