Hi all,
I woke up today with pins and needles in my hand, down two of my fingers and one side of my hand
I've been diagnosed for 2 years and sugars are still a massive roller coaster
Is this something I should be worried about or do we think it's pass and go back to normal
Had the pins and needs for 6 hours now, never had them last longer than 5 mins
any advice would be appreciated!
Also- have just moved to a new area so don't have a DSN yet so cant call for advice!

Have you considered phoning 111 for non emergency NHS advice? Hope your pins and needles have subsided by now.

I would expect it has nothing to do with your diabetes. You should call 111 to go through a number of basic checks first and the second option would be that you slept on your arm. I've experienced prolonged pins and needles in my hand similar to that when I have done something similar.
