My initial diagnosis for type 2 had a HbA1C of 99 back last October. Four months later it was 59 this February. Initially, I cut out things high in sugar, such as breakfast cereals and in December I discovered the LCHF diet and have been gradually cutting out carbs, most recently eating cauliflower rice instead of rice in curries. I was inspired by the videos of Jason Fung to start intermittent fasting a couple of months ago, which help lose weigh and reduce blood sugar levels. My HbA1C test this week showed 44, which is in the pre-diabetic range (42-47). I am hoping to get into the non-diabetic range (below 42) for my next blood test in three months time. So, I am hoping to get down to non-diabetic levels within 10 months. How long has it taken other people with type 2 to get their HbA1C to under 42 and how did they achieve that?
