Using a pump as a life guard

I'm 17 and thinking about doing some work as a life guard. I was wondering if anybody else uses a pump whilst being a life guard.
I'm using an accu check insight, and have been pumping for about a year.
Any advice would be welcome.

You never know they might be keen to show how well the Insight works around a pool and could be helpful ?. Try to reach someone in marketing, not the normal help line.

When the Vibe came out that company were keen to help, support and show two swimmers crossing the channel with their pumps on.
