weight loss but BM readins still high

I have lost 10.5 ilbs (have got 3.5 stone to go) but even on 500mg od of metfromin my readings post meals are still reading at 10. When should I expect to see my BM improving?

Well done on your weight loss, and keep up the good work. Your post meal readings are reliant upon what you ate at the meal, and your activity since the meal.

Are you keeping a food diary? if not, I'd suggest it's a good idea. You will be able to work out which foods are raising your glucose.

For me, that tends to be pasta(which I don't eat anymore) - bread, cereals, pastry, flour products, potatoes including crisps and sugary foods. Protein foods like meat and fish, vegetables, cheese, beans etc keep my glucose more stable. But we are all different.

Even though I weigh a lot less than I did on diagnosis, the foods I eat can still raise my post meal glucose.
