I had bacon wrapped scallops for breakfast this morning instead of my usual bacon and eggs. Very tasty, but what a mistake! I got hungry way before lunch. Back to bacon and eggs from now on.

B: porridge made with Almond milk and cream
L: veg soup. Later in the afternoon I started feeling a bit shakey. My bg was OK at 4.2, but I had a cup of hot chocolate and a small yoghurt just in case. Felt much better afterwards
D: might have ham rolls with cheese and some berries with yoghurt

Dinner, left it too late and wanted food NOW. So had a thrilling combo of salmon pate, miso soup, green salad, coyo and one chocolate.

We had a bit of a crisis today at work - total toilet failure. So I stopped drinking, and am now guzzling liquids like a camel to make up.

2 big bowls of home made chicken and leek soup
I slice of hovis seed sensations. Yum

Dinner chicken roadted salad and mayo and a large spoon of creamy colslaw .

Lunch: Brie
Dinner: - was freezing when I got home, so went for the lowest carb hot thing I could think of that didn't need defrosting! - bacon, cooked to a crisp and scrambled eggs with chilli.

Was okay. Would rather have cheese and celery though.

I swear by alkaseltzer and robinsons lemon barley. Im not sure if it comes in sugar free though. Truly horrible feeling. Hope you feel better soon.

Woke up so hydrated this morning that I am 2 pounds heavier. Not complaining though. No pain so far today, but am fully armed just in case. Tested fbg twice and got 5.9 and 6.7. Have ordered some strips for my Nano.

Busy day at work so just keeping my head down, keeping out of fights and looking forward to home time. Something warm and comforting for dinner tonight I think

Woke up so hydrated this morning that I am 2 pounds heavier. Not complaining though. No pain so far today, but am fully armed just in case. Tested fbg twice and got 5.9 and 6.7. Have ordered some strips for my Nano.

Busy day at work so just keeping my head down, keeping out of fights and looking forward to home time. Something warm and comforting for dinner tonight I think

Now that I have ended my Diabetes Miracle inverstigation () I find myself at a loose end, testing wise.

And then I remembered the pack of Nairn's cheese oat cakes in the cupboard.
Clearly an indepth testing regime is required, in the interests of Science.

So I have just eaten 4 of them (3,7 g carbs each) with butter.
Double testing revealed bg of 6.5 and 7 at 10.55 this morning.
(breakfast was 0.5 g carb coyo, at 8.30, so shouldn't interfere with this highly systematic exploration.)
and yes, they were DELICIOUS!

Will report back in 1 and 2 hours.

I expect you will all be hanging on the edge of your seats!!!

Wonders if I could stop my shopping for a big mac and fries in the interest of how I would manage carbs now.....er ok maybe not ..but may well try KFC later original apparently and low carb...so cold and getting hungry...missed my scrambled eggs as I was running late for an appointment...a battered cheese string didn't cut it

( also tested at 40 mins - yes, I am bored - and was 8.5 and 9.1 then. not impressed. but it looks like I have passed the hump!)

I was feeling too ****** to eat earlier, but just savaged x3 scrambled eggs with a dollop of real melted butter over them and laced with 50g of smoked salmon, lots os salt and pepper and a dash of vinegar for extra savour. ..delushous
