what is the best choice before bed

Hello all.
I have been in the introduction part.
After 20 years of being diabetic type 2 and being on my dieticians diabetic diet, I have started the low carb diet.
My first question please,last night before going to bed, and also before I was to take 500mg metformin,
I did a test and my BS was 4, for me this was too low going to bed, and especially as i had to take my last metformin of the day.
I was wondering what would you eat to pick that figure up a bit,I am trying to lose weight also,so I ended up with a youghurt,
with a dozen sultanas and raisins, light food to sleep on
i am wondering is there better choices, as I did not want to eat just raise the BS reading before bed.. thank you.

Try some cheese and a few grapes. Grapes to raise your sugars a bit and the cheese to maintain over a longer period. Out of interest what where your BG readings this morning.

I like full fat yoghurt, a couple of pieces of 85% chocolate and a couple of strawberries.
Mmmmmmmmm.

I sometimes have a teasp of peanut butter (no sugar variety) , or cheese.

If you're not hungry, nothing would be an excellent choice. Taking only Metformin, you're unlikely to have any kind of worrying hypo. But, you have to do what you feel most comfortable with.

cheese for me for some reason keeps me going and i dont feel hungry x

Dairy free or cows milk free cheese and a rice cake helps me but I can't low carb because off genetic disorder
