Two years ago I got an iPhone and was using it instead of my desktop PC for face book and chatting. When I started suffering from occasions of blurred vision I thought it was caused by reading that tiny screen. That should have tipped me off. Getting up three to four times through the night to wee, should have been a clue but no. Thirst - I would panic if I didn't have ready access to water to "wet my whistle". My mouth always felt dry. Those were the obvious ones I missed. Since I started controlling blood sugar last year I am amazed at how many other things stopped that I'd just suffered. They were also signs that I'd missed: Body odour Horrible smelly ear wax - I thought I had mites it smelled so bad Wheezing / asthma Thrush Urinary infections Bad breath Abscess inflammation Carbuncles Ankle swelling Anxiety (lump in throat feeling) Things are so much better now. I wish I'd been diagnosed ten years ago! Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
