Capitalism and people who go to church for their own gain or advantage.
When I meet people and tell them I am diabetic, they immediately think that chocolate is poison to me...but I love chocolate! My Mum knows I'm diabetic, gives me the best advice...then merrily piles my plate high with all kinds of good stuff!
In fact everyone that isn't diabetic has a piece of 'good' advice!
In starting this thread, I'd like to know what the most ridiculous piece of advice people have had, that made you want to say 'What the **** do you know?'

Hi there,

I am newly diagnosed Type 2 and getting my head around it all.

Many of my friends appear to have undergone very quick medical training and are keen to offer various bits ill informed advice, the main one being that I can never eat sugar again!

Arghhh...................
