There was an article on the BBC News website today about a (relatively) new app called "What3Words".

It's a geolocator, which has allocated every 9mtr square on the globe 3 words. These days the emergency services are utilising it where callers don't know where they are (lost on a hillside, or maybe having a brain freeze).

I must admit, I have downloaded it today, in the hope I'll never need to utilise it.

I saw that on TV the other night, it's a brilliant tool to locate and help people who may need urgent assistance.

I tried that app a while back when I read about it on the pro pilots forum I was not really impressed with it.

I use a app called Emergency + which also tells me where I am, plus it's a Australian.government initiative.

It’s used by the special forces and a lot of law enforcement agencies,
