I stopped drinking red wine when my sister moved in - she kept drinking it!
I suddenly developed a taste for white wine - she didn't drink it.
I find Linot Pinot Grigio (4g carb per 5 fl oz) helps my BP . Stress of sister drinking my wine is reduced.
No adverse effect on BS as long as I count the carbs. Much to my amazement I am able to keep to 1 LARGE glass at a time.

Interesting in that it depends which web site you go to. The one I used last showed Pinot as TWO g's per 5 oz! So you can have twice as much! So I use that web site. Actually, the body processes alcohol for energy before carbs apparently which is why you get lower BG's when you drink wine.
