My hubby has 'always' worn a short cropped beard since
he was at university (over 40years ago)
Every year the same aunt would buy him an after shave gift box
She never twigged he as a guy with short designer beard - never
ever used aftershave .
Body spray and deodorant yes - but aftershave is a 'never' ever .
We kept telling her - yet boxes of brut every **** year !!!
If you thank her enough she will, perhaps, buy you a cheap polo shirt every year.My MiL has a knack of giving awful presents, then every now and then a good one, a cheap polo shirt that is either too big or small, then a collectible!
Heaven knows what this years is!
It will definitely too big as she hasn't noticed all the weight I've lost! Lol!If you thank her enough she will, perhaps, buy you a cheap polo shirt every year.
Had a brill present one year. I don't drive my husband does but at the time we hadn't had a car for 6 years. My sister in law bought us a gadget for defrosting iced up car door locks
This one is brilliant - am still cracking up over this one - giggling away to myself !Had a brill present one year. I don't drive my husband does but at the time we hadn't had a car for 6 years. My sister in law bought us a gadget for defrosting iced up car door locks
Mr Chris also has a short beard but he still wears aftershave - every day. His favourite was a Crabtree & Evelyn Patchouli (old hippy) but theyve not done it for years, so at the moment he's on the Eau Savage. My hubby has 'always' worn a short cropped beard since

My MIL is very... er... caring to small children and furry animals.
I think this is a good quality, but it can be taken to excess.
Individual Xmas presents to the cat, the dog and the goldfish could be interpreted as taking things a fraction too far. She is a lovely woman, so I am choosing my words carefully!
Anyway, two years ago, she asked what I would like for Xmas. And I mentioned 3 things (scented candle, gift voucher or a book, all of which I knew she could source, and were reasonably priced).
I was given a cushion, with a bad painting of a cat on it. The cat looks either constipated or grumpy, depending on the light. I try to keep it in the dark.
The cat, dog and goldfish always get exactly what they ask for...
