Oh, wow! Welcome to forum @easycure.
Firstly, congratulations on your fantastic results. Well done at finding a method that works for you.

It is now almost 5 years since I was in a similar situation. Found what I believed was the 'holy grail'. Wanted to share with everyone. Bemused by the responses. :(. I think my approach got up a few noses. Thing is, I was green as grass back then. I knew there was T1 and T2, and really thought it was that simple. Unfortunately, it isn't. Though I do appreciate the feeling of wanting to be the bearer of the news that your method will work. For all. Don't lose that enthusiasm, but please don't fall into the trap of believing your battle for diabetes control is won. You need to be vigilant now for life about checking and keeping blood glucose levels steady. I hope you can do it.

Please stick around, read, learn and share. Also, don't be put off by any negative responses. Most of us with T2 learn that we are in it for the long haul.

Avoiding meat and dairy won't cure diabetes. That's just silly.

It is quite possible that @Diabetes easycure dropped some weight, normalised his numbers as was told by his GP that he was "cured." Doctors and nurses say a lot of odd things as we all see on this forum. I guess OP has been scared off now so we may never know.

We need a better term I always say I have "backed off "my diabetes, never ever reversed or cured. I don't like saying controlled either because that implies you can control the condition.

I think we need a better definition of type 2 diabetes.

If you can manage to keep your BG within a target range, then I can't think of a better word to describe it other than "control".

And you're not in full remission because that implies you are asymptomatic.

Many people believe diabetes can't be reversed by losing weight.
It also seems many people can't accept meat isn't part of a diabetic diet. Very sad.

At age 30 I kept getting pancreatitis attacks time and time again the hospital put a camera to look at my pancreas and discovered it had been split (pancreas divisum) from birth so no hope for me of reversing diabetes unless I have a transplant

I am pleased you have made progress with your condition but please remember everybody is not from the same mould or carries the same label were all individual

As for meat free with me it's never gonna happen sorry

Not a debate I chose to engage in.
In this instance, I am accepting that OP, meant well, and is naive newcomer to diabtes and forum. Until and unless proved otherwise, that is.

Bullies.
I think there is a view that your diabetic diet, whichever works for you, can manage your diabetes. It is just as much an ongoing treatment as pills or injections. If your treatment is ongoing then your diabetes is not cured or reversed - just managed. If you do not continue the treatment then back it comes.

It does appear that some people's heads seem to explode when vegetarian diets are mentioned.
It's a perfectly acceptable diet, and ridicule isn't necessary, or even acceptable.
And it seems to work for those that choose to do it, and seems to work very well.
