Hi, does anyone on this forum have T1 and had their teeth professionally whitened. I am considering paying £300 to get my teeth done. I was told by both my GP and dentist that because of my blood sugars being out of control for quite a while that this would have an effect on my teeth. My oral hygiene is fine (so the dentist says) and I would like input on whether this would be worth the money or a waste of time.

At the risk of sounding like an advert, get your teeth scaled and polished then use Pearl drops every other day and save yourself a fortune.Of course if you have naturally 'yellowish' teeth then these are actually stronger than 'white' teeth!!

I can remember reading a few years ago that pearl drops affects the enamel on your teeth. Don't know if this is true

Regards Val
