Good Morning

Morning, dark and chilly here in W. Scotland. Having breakfast and trying to wake up. Been up since 5am and have been going to bed early in the evening. Yesterday's fresh air did me a power of good. Went for a haircut, met my girlfriend and was very tired even after 4 hours out. Gaining strength after surgery takes time. Have a fab day peeps. :)

Good morning from a dark rainy Scotland. Haven't walked as yet, hoping it will dry up soon. Off food shopping for our week away in the middle of nowhere tomorrow. Have a good day everyone

Morning all, it's looking rather dismal out there. After waiting in all day yesterday I still haven't received the phone call. They had better hurry up, I have to go to the doctors with Michael this afternoon

Good morning from, the sun is trying to shine, Scarborough . I've been on the Friday weigh in thread and the bs in the morning thread. I've got back into swimming and have done it the last 3 days. Yesterday I swam for the full hour so I'm feeling quite happy. @Liam1955 i haven't seen you about. Is everything ok? Have a great day everyone :)

14/10 - Good Morning from yet another wet and rainy day in York. Have a good day everyone, hope you are all well. :)
Really pleased for you @mo53 Well Done :) Thanks for asking Mo I am still about. :). Was up during the night and I ate a sandwich, so cannot post my Blood sugars this morning.

@Liam1955 I hope you were able to go back to sleep.

Hi @mo53 - since going Low Fat Diet I am waking up around 4 - 5 am absolutely 'starving Hungry', get up eat a snack of Cheese Sandwich then back to bed and fall asleep.
(It was a sandwich I ate, though was thinking ought to have had Crackers, because my reading this morning at 9.30am was higher.)

Oh dear @Liam1955 what are you finding to eat? Low fat is hard work but low fat and trying to keep bs down!! I'm not surprised you wake up hungry. It's not easy.

I wonder how many of us have other conditions which make low carbing more difficult? I have IBD and can't digest vegetables or anything high fibre at all. Anyone else?

Having had 80% of my colon removed I can't tolerate carbs very well, give me the runs they do. I need to eat a low carb and high fibre diet now - lots of greens and protein work best for me. :)

@eddie1968 If we went out for a meal we could order a chicken salad/meat and veg etc etc and what you couldn't digest I could! We have the polar opposite problem with what we can digest :arghh: but for very similar reasons

I should just eat nothing as anything I eat causes me a problem. I'm sure lchf is adding me weight now. Sooo confused.
Which id never started messing with my diet. On more tablets and less mobile.
I'll be going back to my low fat diet at this rate. Milkshakes and IF looks a winner, right now.
Yes smaller bgs by 2mmol/l but eating more cals with hf. Lchf only good if constant low carb. If you want a carb treat it's more damaging than a low fat diet. A natural low fat diet thou, not low fat products with added sugar or sugar free drinks.
Neither wonder we're confused, the food industry definately are.

I've never really messed with my diet...I make all my meals from natural and unprocessed foods now even started pickling and preserving. Most natural foods even fruit doesn't raise my BGs as bad as one slice of blooming bread lol. It's not rocket science IMO. :)

At least you can eat vegetables and fruit Eddie, I WISH that I could digest vegetables, it's very hard when you have to low carb for diabetes without veg to fill you up but it can be done, I know at least one other person in the same boat. I used to love thick veg soups and pulse based spicy meals, can't digest pulses or most spices either now. I eat a lot of eggs, meat, fish and - eggs meats and fish :):)

Sprinkly rain for us this morning. Home today. Cannot get warm. Heating is on and kids have starts of lergies. Great!
I'm in mourning for spring and summer.
Thick joggers and jeans out. New jumpers are needed. For us all.
I'd love a new winter coat. Getting desperate now. Especially now I'm slower. :(

Morning, peeps!
It's dry, sunny and chilly here in S Glos this morning.
I'm proofreading all day today :(, but the family are coming over tonight for dinner, so that will be fun.
I did some interesting reading online last night - I just might have discovered a reason why my arthritis pain has been so bad over recent months (since starting LCHF, in fact!). More on this later (and I'm sure @ickihun will say "I've been telling you that for years!" :)), but I must start work now. Might pop in for a quick skive during the day, but I'll elaborate on this later this evening...
Big hugs to everyone! xxx

Morning everyone, it's pitch black outside and it looks like it's going to be chucking it down all day. Good day for starting to knit a new cardigan! Hugs to everyone who needs one xx

Is all I could find which could cause inflammation. Some veg reduce inflammation but animal fat and protein can inflame things. ♡♥♡
