Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

6.1 this morning. Thought it was 7.1 but rewashed hands and got two at 6.1 so that'll have to do.
Freezing out there . I am really hungry but too cold to get out of bed!!

3 months ago when diagnosed I was 17.9, my 3 month is 6.7. I am happy with that and the doctor was really happy. My urine test was fine, my iron normal and according to my doctor my cholesterol excellent.

Last week when he ordered the bloods he gave me the balanced diet, eat carbs lecture, this week he said, whatever you are doing diet wise keep it up because it is working!

Now need to work on bringing it down some more.........happy feet!!!!:D

4.3 before bed - hello whats this!!!
4.2 fasting - omg - did Christmas come early
7.4 before breakfast - ahhhh back to normal, the liver that keeps on giving....

Back at work today after 2 days off sick... boss was really pleased to see me but wants me to go home lol Told him I would work until lunch time then consider my options... Feels good to be up and about and if I don't feel to weak will go for a walk before lunch as although it is freezing the sun is shining bright making everything better :)

You will be great in Germany. Meat everywhere you look. Fantastic xmas markets at the moment too. Have a great time. Also german breakfasts cheese and meats

Wow! What a wonderful achievement. Yell as loud as you can and dance all day. That is an amazing drop in 3 months. Very well done.

I take it you re-tested that 3.9? Do you often get a spike of 3mmol/l after 1 hour with a carb meal, then a big drop? That sounds to me suspiciously like Reactive Hypoglycemia, but I am no expert on this.

Forgot to test before dinner last night (too involved in the cooking) so no point in a +2. 6.0 at bedtime, 5.6 this morning.
 
An expected 5.7 this morning. Spent four and a half hours in A&E last night with a serious Uniary Tract infection bought on by my enlarged prostrate.
However I slept like a baby once I got into bed.

But I can actually feel my liver dump to wake me up, and as I was warm, and tired in bed, I sort of hung on a bit.
I'm also starting a cold.

I measured after my normal Ryvita though, and I was 6.9, so the figures look good enough to me.
