I give up! Why do I bother!!
Got up this morning and went straight for the finger prick.....................10.0
***:nailbiting: Do I bloody eat in my sleep or what?? Tested again and 6.7 and just for good measure and for the fact that I just like stabbing myself.......... 6.7 again. Ok that's better.
After dinner I thought I'll weigh myself as I haven't got a clue what I weigh. Got the scales out (digital ones) stood on them and .............87.2kgs (13.73 stones) WHAT THE *&^%$. Moved the scales into another room, stood on them again............81.4kgs (12.81 stones), that's nearly a stone difference. Moved them again and I'm glad to say I got the same reading 81.4kgs.
So what do we gain from all this info.........................if you want to lose weight just walk from the living room to the bedroom and you can lose 1 stone.:D:D

I have my scales on a flat hard floor. Carpets won't do.

I had the same experience yesterday with my normally accurate ear thermometer, best you can buy. 36.2 followed by 37. I'm usually somewhere in between!

it's fun isn't it :)
find somewhere to leave your scales and don't shift them. the 10 was a crook strip by the sound of it
Yeh I think so too. Read on here that others are having the same problems. I had a box last week that only 1 in 4-5 worked all the others gave error readings. Luckily I get these on prescription, so got another 50 the day after.

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
Oh dear! Somebody didn't wash their hands properly did they? Either that or you touched something afterwards before testing, or had a dodgy strip.
Ahhh and your scales have to be on an absolutely flat surface or they'll vary a lot.
I've a bungalow with concrete floors, and hard wood flooring and I still have to be careful where I place my scales.
Happy HumpDay by the way :)
Wash my hands.....................it's not a leap year!!:D
As for "Hump Day"..................errrr think I'll go out for a run:rolleyes: hump day.gif

Ahhh, I'm sorry to hear that Bluetit. Perhaps we could have a whip round to get you some carpets. carpet.jpg
Christmas cheer and all that.:D:D

I'd also suggest the most consistent measure of your weight is likely to be on rising, with an empty bladder. During the day what we eat and drink cam impact on our weight quite significantly. Those of us who love to trough mountains of vegetables cab probably on-board a pound at dinner, with that alone.

I totally agree. First thing in the morning just before stabbing myself. Oh and I can only stomach so much veg, I'm not a rabbitroger rabbit.jpg :D

Scales definately need to go on a non carpeted floor, Also i weigh myself naked. I recently discovered that my dressing gown weighs 3 pounds alone!!!! Also always weigh once a week in the morning after going to the bathroom.

Take it you weighed yourself on a carpeted surface first then moved them to a more flat even surface, hence the false reading:)

What do you take me for, bloody stupid or something!!.........................................Well ok, yeh something like that:rolleyes::rolleyes::oops:

But I've come up with a solution (you see I'm not as stupid as I make myself out to be). I'm gonna stick a piece of ply to the underside of the scales then that way they will always be on a solid surface. Pretty clever eh!

Here's another good tip for anyone like myself that finds that the beans kept falling into the bottom of the toaster when making beans on toast. The solution was simple really but could only have been thought up by a man..........................turn the toaster on it's side.:D:D
Yes I know what you're thinking, this is one clever cool guy.:)

Mine are in my bedroom, on carpet and they stay there all the time and it's in pounds. When weighed at diabetic clinic, 2 weeks ago, it was in Kilo's, so I asked for it in old money, stones and pounds, 8 st stone 13, which is steady. I wouldn't mind losing a couple of pounds, but not a stone

Best wishes RRB
