Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

9.2 this morning..... I have no idea why. I tested twice and the readings were about the same.
 
A naughty 4.3 I would guess more down to the Vod Last night, out with friends ate to LCHF but got a little carried away with the alcohol.

Not to worry have a lovely weekend people.
 
Record-equalling 5.0 this morning, although yesterday was an 'odd' day. Office Christmas do at lunchtime, drank lots of red wine, walked 50 min back to the hotel, 5.7, too tired/Brahms to eat dinner, just had some Brazil nuts and coffee, went to bed on 5.1. Nice to know my liver decided not to step in.
 
:rolleyes:5.4 for me so round about my average range, had gone to bed on 5.1 and was still 5.1 when awake at 4 am ( still not "too low") as suggested by my GP
 
5.5 at bedtime after a very good set of levels yesterday, nothing higher than 6.4
5.1 this morning (2 tests the same) equals my lowest ever. Snap @sanguine :)

Fingers crossed my blip is over.
 
Averaged at 6.5... Very sore fingers. Had three in high fives , two in low sixes then two at 7!!!!
Got sore throat and was awake until 2.30 with panic- remind me never to have a cup of proper tea in an evening again.
 
Nice little 5.1 this morning followed by 6.1 after 2 hours

5.9 which was ok after snacking on naughties last night.

I'm getting a little bored of testing fasting levels if I'm truly honest.

They are always between 5.4 and 6.0 depending on what happened the previous evening.

Maybe this tells me my basal insulin levels are ok not really sure?

I don't know the answer to that question. My own fasting levels have never been high. They have averaged in the mid 5's since I started testing last April, yet my HbA1c still isn't in the non-diabetic range. I see people on here reporting higher fasting levels than mine yet they have lower HbA1c's.
 
I don't understand that BT - if you're bs levels are at non diabetic levels for 8-12 hours out of every 24 hours then it's hard to see why your hba1c is in the diabetic range.
Unless you have very high levels in daylight hours?
