I guess everything is relative!

Where I live, we think it's cold if it goes anywhere near 10c. Just too soft I suppose!

We do have to put up with 40c in the summer though!
I used to live in Southern California and the weather was quite nice, but I don't tolerate heat very well. Cool and dry here. No beaches, but some nice mountains.

These ailments are the pits. Today I feel like someone is giving me chinese burns on my arms legs and chest..the damp and cold combo is just making it so much worse. I think I need to move abroad for the winter.

Out of interest, what medication if any do you take to relieve pain? As I declined more steroids, my GP has prescribed Naproxen, but it doesn't even touch the sides. Steroids are the only thing that works. In fact, within two days of being back on them, I feel like a new person. But, oh! the side-effects!

Naproxen were the best for me but taken off them due to bp and anaemia even tho endoscopy showed no bleeds either up or down... Have amitriptyline at bedtime to relax muscles which used to help me sleep but not so effective now. I'm not in pain so much as constant aches once I lie down

I've heard great things about Serrapeptase especially for lungs - gets rid of all the gunk. originates from the enzyme used by silkworms to bread down their hard cocoon. Said not to impact on any meds
Thanks for the idea will try that if i can get some. Any ideas where i can get it.:)

Good luck Paul. It is the first time my numbers remained low after rice. Usually they were going through the roof. You will just have to see if it works for you. We use Basmati rice its lower GI index. Good luck and enjoy.
I'll ask which rice they use. Spose most of it's down to how much you eat mainly. Can never eat what they give anyways, always have a doggy bag, but the dog don't get any.

I was 5.1 this morning after a carb free breakfast , I then had a cold meat snack mid day, then suddenly felt really shaky and weak mid afternoon so I tested again and it was 4.2 , had a lump of cheese and felt much better.

I'm confused as to whether this feeling was because of hunger , or lower than normal (for me ) BG , or something unrelated. I wouldn't expect hypo effects at 4.2..would I ? I didn't feel hungry. The only thing I did different was the very brisk 60 minute walk after lunch.

Confuzled:-)

Feeling rough. Bg running high 8,7 this morning and not any better tonight 9.2 2 hours after dinner.

I've got the cold, no doubt caught it off one of those ignorant persons who can't use a hanky. 11.2 mmol/l at breakfast and a better 8.9 mmol/l at dinner. Ahhhtissshoooo lol

Treated this as a sick day

Nowt. My surgery don't believe in fibromylagia!! I use CBT techniques to cope and they do help sometimes. Tbh I've not had this bad a flare for years so it's a bit of a shock reliving how bad I can feel. If it doesn't improve soon I'll have to see GP though not sure what he will suggest - it was usually lose weight and see CBT therapist. Done both and still in pain so maybe they'll play a new record.
