5.9 this morning - hopefully back to my normal fbs readings after the Christmas/NY period.

5.4 again here. Mrs S is down with flu at the moment, hoping it doesn't come to me - blood sugars will probably know before I do ...

What some would give for numbers like that. Am only prediabetic and don't often get so low - have been in the 4s ar times, but not regularly

Its the trend that puzzles me, dont forget I do VLCHF. Maybe my pancreas has not really internalised this yet !. Still tomorrow is another day with new hope, so that things may return to "normal".

Thanks Bluetit, Stable Jan and everyone who have sent me lovely messagesHospital food always sends my bs up Dad is bringing me some sweetened soya milk and yoghurts in later so that will help. Just wish i could breathe without extra meds and O2 :-(. At least i have had some sleep and done a bit of simple knitting. Brain has gone to mush:-)
Bless you loulou. Hope you are home soon. Need to find some time to finish knitting my granddaughter's cardigan but don't want to do it your way ;). Hope there's something more bs friendly on the menu today

5.7 this morning here
Looking at My averages on my meter (obviously all day not just fasting)
30 days is 5.8
14 days is 6.1
7 days 6.2
Guess I did ok with christmas! !

How's your protein intake? Think its @bluetit found that started to put fasting bs up ......

Ah Pav looks like the oats could be the problem, I get spikes with certain porridge and cereals so I experiment too. I have actually bucked the trend and have lost weight on insulin and kept my weight stable without too much effort. And btw Happy Noo Year lol !

Happy New Year to you too! And well done on the weight loss, I've lost 9lbs at my last check but thats mainly due to lchf diet. Think I've put a bit on over the hols though

Forgot to say, my bg is 9.4 this morning.

I think your new handle for 2015 needs updating like trimbokimbo, trimbo or something that reflects those lost jean sizes and going diet-only..lol

3.8 for me today. We had a wonderful (and rather substantial) lunch out yesterday, but at 4.4 after, I did just fine. Evening meal was more just a dessert, which for me was the ubiquitous berries and cream. I'm getting bored of raspberries, and I keep forgetting I have some profiteroles in the freezer!

Doh!

How 'can' you forget the profiteroles ;). Wonderful figures following your wonderful food :)

I was 6.4 going to bed last night and 6.9 this morning. Meh. I had good food yesterday so am eyeing the new cough bottle suspiciously. Robitussin sugar-free. Maybe there is something dodgy in it. Should I just hang an onion around my neck today and toss the cough bottle? Got my annual blood test next week and think it will be a whopper at this rate.
